Honey, it’s not that I cannot commit. I rather not feel obligated to you, if I call then that means I want to talk to you, not because I have to talk to you. The reason why I prefer not to be in a relationship and rather the talking/ dating phase is that I don’t HAVE to do anything. It’s all a matter of choice and if I don’t call, then the other party doesn’t trip out. However, in a relationship situation it’s, “why didn’t you call me” bullshit. The fuck?! Nigga I will call you if I feel like talking to your ass! I don’t like the title because if things go downhill, I rather not refer you as an “ex” because you have a fucking name. I don’t like the idea of X-ing you out if you made an impact. I feel that title is too heavy, which alters the way we view one another, resulting to not being friends. In the dating phase, if things goes downhill then we pretend what we had never existed and resume our friendship. It’s less drama on my part. Therefore, when I tell you that I prefer not being in a relationship, it’s not that I cannot commit to your ass but I feel its unnecessary drama.
